Traditionally worn as a shorter alternative to a kimono, the Happi Coat combines the relaxed comfort of a robe with the bold character of Japanese-inspired design.
This striking black warrior Happi Coat is made in Japan from 100% shantung cotton and features an elegant 6-inch square gold satin Samurai calligraphy symbol embroidered on the back. A vibrant red Sakura crest adorns each front panel, creating a dramatic contrast against the rich black fabric.
The premium shantung cotton fabric has a beautifully textured, nubby appearance created by slubbed yarns and a distinctive ribbed weave. Durable yet airy and comfortable, with natural breathability, shantung cotton has a substantial feel and natural visual depth that makes this Happi Coat especially appealing.

Size Tips
The girth refers to the total width of the fabric from end to end. Because the Happi Coat wraps around the body and fastens with the included belt, it can accommodate a variety of waist sizes.
For the best idea of where the coat will fall on your body, measure from the top of your shoulder down along your side to the desired length. Depending on your height, the 45-inch length may appear longer or shorter when worn. For more information, see our FAQ page.
Caring for Your Happi Coat
To preserve the distinctive texture, embroidery, and overall quality of the fabric, we recommend gentle hand washing in cold water and if desired, a small amount of liquid, pH-neutral detergent without bleach or enzymes, such as Woolite Delicates™. Do not dry clean. Allow the robe to naturally drip dry.
